All Digital Clusters

Instrument cluster are evolving toward an all digital display. Odometer repair or odometer mileage correction on these clusters involves establishing a connection to the processor and modifying the data. Electronic Clusters

Electronic Instrument clusters combine mechanical and electronic gage features. Odometer mileage can be stored on digital or mechanical assemblies and instrument cluster gauges can be a combination of digital indicators and mechanical gauge dials. Powl’s can repair individual gauges with the instrument cluster or if necessary provide an exchange cluster and we have the ability to correct the odometer mileage on your original or exchange instrument cluster.

Mechanical Instrument Clusters or Gauges.

Older model vehicles have mechanical speedometers driven by a rotating speedometer cable linked to the transmission. Powl’s can rebuild the mechanical speedometer and provide replacement speedometer cables custom built for the specific year make and model. These older model mechanical instrument clusters include simple current coil driven gauges for monitoring fuel, temperature, battery voltage….ect. Powl’s can repair these gauges and in necessary convert 6V systems to 12V systems.

For speedometer accuracy issues, Powl’s can build a ratio adapter to correct

for changes in transmission or tire sizes.
